BLUEBERRY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Blueberry and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (March 15th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Blueberry Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 2.5 years as of Jan. 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 43 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Blueberry is Looking For: Blueberry is a male Lab mix with a handsome golden coat and a friendly presence. He's a medium-sized guy who would fit in nicely with many different types of homes. Blueberry enjoys being around other dogs and does well with canine companions, making him a great option for a home with a resident pup or for someone who enjoys social outings with dogs. With his warm looks, Blueberry is ready to start his next chapter with a family who's looking for a lovable, dog-friendly companion. What My Foster Says About Me: Blueberry has been such a joy to foster! Despite his name, he's not too impressed with actual blueberries-but he is very sweet in every other way. He's a well-mannered boy who is doing very well with potty training and sleeps soundly through the night. Around the house, he's easygoing and happy to relax, especially if tummy rubs and snuggles are involved (his favorites!) Blueberry loves getting out for walks and exploring the world. He gets excited to see other dogs and people because he's such a friendly guy and is always hopeful for a new friend. He can be a little enthusiastic when he's feeling extra happy, but he's responsive and eager to listen. Overall, Blueberry is a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys both adventure and cuddle time. He's ready to bring lots of warmth to his forever home! Heartworm information: Blueberry is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Blueberry has completed this activity restriction period. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
