Meet Lizzy - Brainy, Bouncy, and Full of Spark ?Lizzy is a smart and spirited Border Collie mix who brings big personality wherever she goes. She's playful, affectionate, and always ready to engage-whether that's chasing toys, learning new games, or soaking up attention from her favorite people. Lizzy knows sit, takes treats enthusiastically, enjoys car rides, and has a soft side that comes out once she settles-snuggles included.True to her herding-dog roots, Lizzy has lots of energy and opinions. She can be reactive to other dogs, especially behind barriers, and does best with slow introductions and a small, carefully chosen dog circle-or as an only dog. Impulse control and leash manners are works in progress, but she's highly food- and toy-motivated, making her a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training. In the yard, she loves to zoom, explore, and then cool off (sometimes literally-she's been known to take a dip when tired!).Lizzy also has some orthopedic considerations: she has an abnormal gait with patellar issues and arthritis in her hind legs. Surgery is the gold standard, but if that's not an option, she'll need a couch-potato lifestyle, joint supplements, and pain management under veterinary guidance. Think mental enrichment over marathon hikes-puzzle toys, training games, and structured play will be her jam.If you're looking for a clever, loving dog with a big heart and a bigger personality, Lizzy might just be your girl.
