Medical History & Ongoing Conditions:Foreign Body Ingestion:He has a history of ingesting bottle caps that required prior abdominal surgery. He must be closely supervised and kept away from small objects, trash, and destructible toys. Repeat ingestion could result in life-threatening obstruction requiring emergency surgery.Chronic Allergic Dermatitis & Otitis Externa: He has chronic skin disease with areas of hair loss and a raised alopecic lesion on the head (FNA inconclusive; inflammatory vs mass cannot be ruled out). Dermatophyte testing is pending. He also has chronic ear infections that have improved but may recur. Allergic dermatitis is often lifelong and may require: Prescription medications (e.g., antihistamines, steroids, immune-modulating drugs)Specialized or hypoallergenic dietsStrict flea control and environmental managementRegular veterinary rechecksFlare-ups are common, and long-term management is frequently necessary.Orthopedic Disease:Radiographs show severe bilateral hip dysplasia with degenerative joint disease and bridging spondylosis deformans (L1-L6). I had such a great time taking in all the sights and sniffs.What should potential adopters know about me:Twix is a sweet dog! This was my first time meeting him. He was so friendly from the moment I met him and he allowed me to leash him up. He was fine with me helping him into the car and is a great passenger. He did great on the trail as well. He is friendly and non-reactive to all. Twix is social and would like to say hello to other dogs. He is a loose leash walker and enjoys a slow, good sniffy walk. Overall, he's an amazing dog who would make a great companion to anyone!Three words to describe me:Sweet, Friendly, Mellow
