Meet Hawk - The Strong, Spirited Shepherd Boy! Hawk is a 6-year-old, neutered German Shepherd with a big personality and plenty of energy. In his kennel he often spins and places his front paws on the kennel door when staff approach, indicating kennel frustration and excitement for interaction. He can be very jumpy when it's time to get out, making exits more challenging, but once out he generally walks okay on leash.Hawk is friendly with people and enjoys engagement, though his strength and reactivity require careful handling. He can be reactive toward other dogs and tends to pull on leash, especially when his focus is triggered. His enthusiasm can also lead him to jump up toward a handler's face when excited.Though he responds well during outings and shows a desire to connect, Hawk would benefit greatly from structured training and consistent guidance to help him manage his energy and focus. Hawk needs a strong, experienced adopter who understands high-drive, reactive dogs and can provide firm, patient leadership and ongoing training. As a neutered adult shepherd with the right support and structure, Hawk has the potential to thrive and become a devoted companion.
