Meet Sadie Lou Sadie Lou is a sweet, gentle girl who has been making wonderful progress in her foster home. She has come a long way and continues to grow more confident every day. Sadie Lou thrives in a calm home environment and really enjoys having a secure fenced yard where she can explore and relax. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality begins to shine. In her foster home, Sadie has been working on desensitization to everyday household items, and she has done incredibly well with this training. She is also learning her basic commands like "sit" and "stay," and she's catching on nicely. Sadie Lou is completely housetrained, which is always a wonderful bonus. At night she sleeps in a crate in her foster's bedroom with the door open and settles in very comfortably. When her foster leaves the house for errands, Sadie rests in her crate with the door closed and another dog nearby for company. She can still be a bit sensitive to sudden movements, and her foster has noticed she seems a little more cautious in low light, possibly due to reduced night vision. During the day, though, she is much more relaxed and continues to gain confidence. Sadie is a sensitive and thoughtful dog who does best with patient adopters who understand that building trust takes time. With kindness, routine, and encouragement, she continues to blossom more each day. She's also learning the difference between dog toys and human shoes (a work in progress! βΊοΈ). Sadie Lou would do best in a patient, loving home that will continue helping her build confidence and celebrate her progress. Watching her open up and become more comfortable is incredibly rewarding. If you're looking for a gentle companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to settle in, Sadie Lou may be the perfect match for you.
