FRITA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Name: Frita Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of February 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 29 lbs as of 3/1/26 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Because Frita is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Frita is Looking For: Hi, I'm Frita! My siblings, Faygo & Fanta, have enjoyed our time together but we are ready to head out on our own adventure to find our forever home! I've been dreaming of my perfect forever family. I'm looking for a home with toys to chew, treats to snack on, cozy spots for naps, and humans who love puppy kisses and don't mind a little learning along the way. I'd also love a home where I can make doggy friends and enjoy playtime with other pups. I promise plenty of tail wags, zoomies, and cuddles. What do you say, could you be my forever family? What My Foster Says About Me: Frita is a gentle, sweet soul who may be shy at first but has such a brave little heart. She faced new things quietly and courageously. Once she feels safe, she loves curling up on the couch under a soft blanket, watching the world go by from the window. She enjoys snuffle mats, bones, and especially cheese, and she's wonderfully quiet and calm in her crate. Frita politely explores on her own terms and can entertain herself, but she also lit up when she saw a familiar dog friend - showing that she would blossom with a confident canine buddy and a patient, loving home that helps her see the world isn't so scary. This lovely girl is ready for someone to shower her with the love she deserves. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
